A homeowner in Joppa, MD, was fed up with the ongoing water seepage that had plagued their basement for years, creating a damp, musty environment and raising concerns about mold and long-term damage.
After contacting Quality 1st, our team conducted a thorough assessment and installed a comprehensive waterproofing system that included our patented WaterGuard Drainage System, the reliable TripleSafe Sump Pump, moisture-blocking CleanSpace Wall Panels, our powerful SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, and our freeze-resistant IceGuard Discharge Line. These components worked together seamlessly to capture and remove water, control humidity, and prevent future moisture intrusion. As a result, the basement was completely transformed into a dry, healthy, and welcoming space, giving the homeowner peace of mind and a newly revitalized area to enjoy!
In this basement, the bottom of the moldy paneling was removed so that we could install WaterGuard and do mold remediation with Moldx2. After the repairs were made, we installed the inorganic TBF Everlast wall system, which is guaranteed for 50 years against Mold or water damage.
This customer had a finished basement that had 3 bedrooms, but before these bedrooms could become livable spaces, there needed to be an emergency exit in play. The customer reached out to us to install 3 Egress windows, one in each of the bedrooms. Egress windows are not only good for a quick and safe way to exit the basement in case of an emergency, but these windows also allow in a lot of natural light, making the bedroom brighter, causing you to use less electric via having the light on during the day.
The customer chose to have 3, Slider Egress Windows with Rockwells and Rockwell Covers installed along with WellDucts that would tie in to the current waterproofing system.
This new homeowner needed help with the basement door entry and had a lot of water at the bottom of the stairwell during heavy rain. We installed our TrenchDrain to prevent flooding at the basement door and redirects any future water to our WaterGuard drainage system that connects to the sump.
For this home, we were able to turn this damp, leaking basement wall into a dry, moisture-free space. We had a team go out to install our WaterGuard drainage system, which is designed to effectively resolve basement flooding issues. Our drainage system is made to capture vapor, moisture, and wall leakage from our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, which then flows down into the sub-floor drain. The drain system then connects to the sump pump that will pump out any unwanted water from the home.
