An existing customer of ours had referred us to Deborah from Stanhope, NJ, who noticed large stair step cracking in the exterior of her foundation. We sent Senior Design Specialist, Joe, out to inspect the foundation and design a solution that would stabilize the foundation permanently.

Joe recommended our State-of-the-Art Push Piers. The perfect solution for any home that has shifted or settled. Joe explained that cracks form when the soil beneath your home is no longer strong enough to support the foundation, and therefore when the foundation shifts, cracks form from the movement. Ignoring cracks in a foundation will only increase the chances of the foundation becoming unstable and unsafe. Joe designed a solution where 16 Push Piers would be installed on the outside of the foundation, deep in the strong soil, to transfer the weight of the home to the piers to prevent further settling and movement.

Subtle warning signs within a Mount Holly, NJ basement pointed to a serious foundation issue as ongoing settlement began causing visible wall bowing and structural deterioration. The homeowner, concerned about the long-term safety and stability of the home, contacted Quality 1st after realizing the problem was progressively worsening and required professional intervention rather than a temporary repair.

Following a detailed inspection of the basement, our team identified the underlying forces contributing to the wall movement and designed a customized stabilization plan. The cinder block foundation had horizontal cracks and some walls that were bowing inwards.Quality 1st Basement Systems installed GeoLock Wall Anchors to the foundation walls. These anchors will stabilize and repaid the walls that are bowing inward. The team then concealed the anchors with Hide-A-Way covers for a clean finished appearance.
