This heavy retaining wall in Downington, PA was bowing and tipping over, and we knew that the GeoLock Wall Anchors were the best solution for the problem. When the GeoLock system is installed, a hole is drilled into the bowing wall in predetermined intervals, depending on the number of anchors needed. One anchor plate is then attached to the interior and exterior sides of the wall, lining up with the predrilled hole, and one end of a 9-foot galvanized threaded rod is then inserted through the hole and anchor plates until the rod protrudes slightly out of the interior wall. An anchor bolt is then screwed onto that protruding end. The other end of the rod attaches to a heavy-duty earth anchor, which gets embedded into firm, stable soil away from the foundation. Once everything is in place, the anchor bolt is tightened, and the reverse pressure pulls the wall back toward its original position. At this point, the wall is stabilized and secure and no further adjustments are necessary. However, gradual tightening of the anchor bolt will continue to adjust the wall and over time, may even straighten it completely. This home in Elkton needed 10 anchors to repair the wall, and we were able to straighten it completely in one day. The GeoLock wall anchors are guaranteed for a period of 25 years.

At this Pottstown home, the owner was getting water in through horizontal cracks in the foundation wall. The team went out to install our CarbonArmor Wall Stabilization Straps that is 10x stronger than steel and flexible enough to form tightly against the foundation wall. The CarbonArmor straps are secured to the floor joist and will quickly stabilize the foundation wall that has begun to bow. This system connects down into the sub-floor drainage system that will securely collect any and all wall leaks, then flows down into the sump pump.
In this basement, owners were experiencing wall leakage and needed to find a solution to fix the foundation walls without damaging them. Our team went out to the property to assess and then installed 5 of our CarbonArmor Straps that are used to stabilize and reinforce the walls. This system uses epoxy with the fiber straps that are 10x stronger than steel and balance the cracks. If not corrected, the foundation cracks can cause an even more serious problem and will worsen over time.
Pressure of soil pushing up against the foundation wall, Hydrostatic pressure, or Foundation Settlement are only a few reasons why a foundation wall could be bowing or cracking. Either way, you want to get this looked at as soon as you can so the issue doesn't continue and possibly worsen over time.
For this customer, we have done several projects for them, Egress install, waterproofing and now foundation repair. This repair required 4 Carbon Armor Strips and 10, 8' Power Braces.
