A homeowner in Lancaster, PA, grew increasingly frustrated as signs of foundation settlement began to appear in their basement. Uneven floors and growing cracks along the walls made it clear that the problem was more than just cosmetic, it was a structural concern that could worsen over time. Unwilling to let the damage continue unchecked, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for a reliable, permanent solution.
After conducting a thorough inspection, our team identified the root of the issue and recommended the installation of our SmartJack Support System. This durable, adjustable steel pier system is specifically designed to stabilize and lift sagging floors caused by foundation settlement. Once installed, the SmartJacks effectively raised the basement floors back to their proper level and provided the critical support needed to prevent future settlement.
The homeowner was thrilled with the results and finally had peace of mind knowing their home’s foundation was secure and protected for the long term!
This customer had a finished basement and started to notice cracks along the drywall, concerned this could be a major issue, they reached out to us to assess.
When arriving at the property, the drywall had already been removed and you could see a noticeable horizontal crack going through the foundation wall. Our solution for this was our Carbon Armor Wall Stabilization Straps.
The Carbon Armor system is 10x stronger than steel but flexible enough to form tightly against the basement wall. The straps are secured to the floor joist and is ideal for quickly stabilizing bowing walls
This customer reached out regarding the concerns of a bowing basement wall. We were able to stabilize the wall by installing our CarbonArmor Straps, which is fiber reinforced polymers that are 10x stronger than steel. The fiber is flexible enough to tightly hug the wall, allowing homeowners to stabilize the foundation quickly and prevent further bowing.
The initial call to our company was for basement waterproofing. The complaint was that water would get into the basement every time it would rain and then it would just progress with every rainfall, more and more water was getting in. When we got out there to assess the water issue, it became apparent that there was a problem with the customer's foundation. To correct these foundation issues we installed two push piers and seven, 8' Power Braces.
Push Piers are installed and locked under the home's foundation, allowing the weight from the foundation to transfer from the unstable soil to the stabilized piers. Power Braces are installed by anchoring to your basement floor and floor joist. The Power Brace is designed to be tightened over time and can potentially reverse the failing wall.
On this project, we had to perform Urethane injections to 45ft tall foundation wall cracks. On the one foundation wall, we had to inject Epoxy into 30 cracks in order to strengthen the foundation's integrity by using the water-resistant epoxy. Once the cracks were filled, we removed the excess epoxy in order for the owner to touch up or stain the discoloration from the dry injections. Lastly, we reinstalled the foam boards we removed and taped seams flush against the walls.
