At this home in Baltimore, MD, the crawl space was bringing cold drafts into the upper levels of the home. The homeowner knew this was an issue, so they contacted us for a solution. We encapsulated the space with our CleanSpace System, which is designed to reduce moisture and humidity. We also installed our SilverGlo Insulated Wall Panels, which have a built-in heat barrier, creating a more energy-efficient area. Thanks to our Inspector, Jeff, and our crewman Jordan, the homeowner's peace of mind was restored!
This old, cold, and leaking window needed to be replaced, so we installed an all-vinyl, energy-efficient EverLast Basement Window. These windows are airtight but easy to open. When unlocked, both panes can be removed for cleaning or for passing objects through – like a ladder or another item you’d rather not carry through your house.
We also installed a WellDuct window well drain in the window well outside. This drain is connected to the interior WaterGuard system to prevent window well flooding. We also wanted to prevent vapor transmission through the walls, so the ThermalDry Wall vapor barrier was installed. Not only does ThermalDry Wall help to lower relative humidity, but it also has a radiant shield that reflects up to 97% of the heat back into the basement.
Moisture intrusion and weakened structural supports had started to compromise the integrity of a Baltimore, MD homeowner’s crawl space. The rising humidity levels not only threatened the air quality inside the home but also raised concerns about long-term foundation settlement and wood rot. Concerned about the potential for costly damage, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for a permanent solution. Our team performed a detailed inspection to assess the full extent of the issues and designed a comprehensive crawl space repair plan tailored to the home’s specific needs.
To address water management, we installed Drainage Matting to direct any groundwater toward the newly installed SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump, which offers reliable drainage in tight spaces. To restore structural stability, our crew installed the SmartJack Support System, adjustable steel supports designed to reinforce and lift the failing beams. We then encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, sealing out ground moisture and creating a cleaner, more energy-efficient environment. Finally, our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was added to regulate humidity and prevent mold growth.
With these integrated systems in place, the crawl space was fully transformed into a dry, stable, and healthy environment, giving the homeowner confidence in the protection and longevity of their home.
In this unfinished basement, water would build up at the back door due to the old trench drain collecting debris. We were able to remove the old trench drain from the entryway and installed our TrenchDrain water system. The sub-floor drain captures any surface water and has a grated cover that can easily be removed and cleaned, keeping your basement entry dry.
This customer reached out regarding their finished basement and had a window that had been leaking due to heavy rainfall. Our team had gone out to the property to remove the part of the wall to install our WellDuct Window drain. The window drain prevents the window from flooding your basement and transports the water straight from the window down to the sub-floor drainage system that connects to the sump pump.
