For this project the homeowner reached out regarding their finished basement and water coming in through the foundation walls. We were able to capture the water leakage with our CleanSpace Vapor barrier installation along with our WaterGuard sub-flooring drain system. The CleanSpace is a poly sheet material that covers the entire basement and works as a barrier for any water or vapor coming through into the home. This particular covering forces any type of seepage down to the sub-floor drain then flows into the sump pump, preventing any unwanted water in basement.
In this basement in Baltimore, MD, the homeowners had a block foundation where one of the walls was starting to bow and water began to intrude when it would rain. Our team dug out a trench along the floor of the foundation walls to install our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that will capture the water coming in through the walls. We then installed our WellDuct Window Well Drain, which also captures the water leaking through the window well and then connects down into the sub-floor drain. By installing this waterproofing system, the basement will be dry and no longer have an issue with intruding water.
In this Gwynn Oak, MD basement, the foundation was starting to settle and needed a system to prevent further sagging. Our team went out to the property to install our SmartJack Stabilizer System that are high capacity steel piers that are designed to stop the settling and can potentially raise the upper level back to original level. We replaced the center beam and temporary supports with our SmartJacks that will permanently fix sagging problem which can adjust future settling.
A homeowner in Gwynn Oak, MD, was experiencing water seepage issues in their basement. The moisture was impacting the basement walls and creating a risk for mold, mildew, and rot. They contacted Quality 1st Basements, who conducted a comprehensive inspection. The System Design Specialist recommended installing CleanSpace. The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier is a robust moisture liner designed to prevent water vapor and moisture from permeating the basement air. Additionally, it helps manage existing mold and rot. The homeowner can now feel assured that their family has access to safe, breathable air and that their basement is protected from further deterioration.
A damp, musty crawl space might be out of sight, but it’s never out of mind for long. That was the case for a homeowner in Gwynn Oak, MD, who began noticing a persistent musty smell and increased humidity throughout their home. Concerned about the potential for mold growth, wood rot, and long-term structural damage, they turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for a permanent solution.
After conducting a thorough inspection, our team identified widespread moisture intrusion and high humidity levels throughout the crawl space, conditions that, if left untreated, could compromise both the health and safety of the home.
To address the issue comprehensively, we designed a customized waterproofing system tailored to the space. We installed our WaterGuard Interior Drainage System to collect any incoming water, along with a dual-pump solution, our TripleSafe Sump Pump System for maximum protection and our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump for added redundancy. Next, we encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, creating a durable seal that isolates the home from the damp earth below. Finally, we installed our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to control humidity and improve air quality.
With the full system in place, the homeowner immediately noticed a drier, cleaner environment and regained peace of mind knowing their crawl space, and home, was now protected for the long term!
