Heavy rainfall had recently drenched the area, and this Manasquan, NJ homeowner began noticing troubling signs in their crawl space, iron ochre buildup, musty odors, and water stains hinting at deeper moisture issues. Recognizing the potential for mold, structural damage, and declining indoor air quality, they reached out to Quality 1st for a permanent, professional solution to protect their home from further damage.
Following a thorough inspection, our team developed a customized waterproofing plan tailored to the unique challenges of the crawl space. We installed Drainage Matting to direct water flow, SilverGlo Insulation Panels for energy efficiency, and a powerful combination of our TripleSafe Sump Pump and SuperSump Premier Systems to manage groundwater. To protect the discharge line in freezing conditions, we added our IceGuard System, and encapsulated the entire crawl space with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. To ensure long-term humidity control, our SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed, creating a clean, dry, and healthy environment below the home.
The final result was a fully protected crawl space and a homeowner with renewed peace of mind!
Whether your sump pump runs a lot or not, it is important to have annual maintenance performed to ensure the system runs at peak performance, ready to provide protection from ground water intrusion. Service Technician Chris removed the airtight lid to access the SuperSump system. The pump was cleaned, the pump liner was cleaned and sanitized, and the system was flood tested. This system is capable of pumping up to 2,220 gallons of water per hour and ready to leave the homeowner free from worry!
This Atlantic Highlands homeowner had a leaky basement which caused black mold to grow on his basement walls. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a full perimeter WaterGuard system with a SuperSump sump pump to waterproof the basement. EverLast wall panels were then installed to refinish the basement. EverLast is not made of organic materials so it will never grow mold!
This Atlantic Highlands basement had serious foundation cracks on the walls, with some bowing inward. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems who sent System Design Specialist, Mike Jersey out to inspect the problem. Upon inspection, Mike found several horizontal and staircase cracks which are major signs of foundation settlement. The Q1 team installed a PowerBrace Wall Reinforcement System to permanently stabilize the foundation. This will prevent further bowing of the walls and provide future support to the foundation.
The homeowners living in Atlantic Highland wanted to complete a section of their basement. Quality 1st Basement Systems was able to completely restore the small section with the Everlast wall Restoration System and the Canyon Beige ThermalDry Basement Floor tiles. The homeowners now have a fully functioning bathroom in their basement.
