This customer had a monolithic foundation, which prevented us from cutting the floor near the foundation wall to install a traditional sub-floor waterproofing system. So we installed a DryTrak cove channel system with a TripleSafe Sump System. We also installed a sub-floor drainage system towards the middle of the floor to deal with hydrostatic pressure.
In Kennett Square, PA, a homeowner was becoming fed up with persistent water seepage in their basement, which caused dampness, musty odors, and growing concerns about long-term damage to their home. Wanting a permanent solution, they contacted Quality 1st for professional assistance.
Our team conducted a thorough inspection and installed a complete waterproofing system, including our patented WaterGuard Drainage System to capture and redirect water, a TrenchDrain to stop surface water at entry points, and our TripleSafe Sump Pump for reliable water removal with built-in backup protection. To further control moisture and improve the basement’s environment, we added CleanSpace Wall Panels, which act as a vapor barrier, and an IceGuard Discharge Line to prevent freezing-related backups in colder months.
These solutions worked together to fully transform the basement into a dry, healthy, and functional space, giving the homeowner peace of mind year-round!
This basement had several problems. The foundation wall was starting to bow inward, so we installed CarbonArmor Straps to reinforce the wall and prevent it from continuing to bow. We also installed a TripleSafe Sump Pump along with the WaterGuard Drainage System to take care of the water that was entering the basement. To finish the job, we installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls. CleanSpace works in conjunction with WaterGuard and keeps water from entering the basement by catching any moisture that may come through the walls and directing it into the WaterGuard system, where it will either evaporate or drain away into the sump.
CleanSpace has the added bonus of brightening up your basement. It’s a fast and economical way to cover ugly basement walls. CleanSpace Wall is washable, durable, and can conform to bumpy walls, and it is installed using permanent, drilled-in fasteners, so it stays put for a neat, clean appearance.
Initial call we received was to assess a concerning vertical crack in his poured foundation, while our inspector was out at the property, it was brought to his attention that he would also like to look into upgrading one of the basement windows, into an Egress and some minor waterproofing. For the vertical crack in the foundation, he proposed a Urethane Injection with Flexispan, for the Egress, our Slider Egress with RockWell and Cover along with a WellDuct to tie into their current waterproofing system.
At this semi-finished home, the basement would take on water during heavy rainfall and sit in the corner of the room. We installed our sub-floor drain, WaterGuard, which lies on the foundation footing that channels the water into the sump system. This will help collect water from the basement walls, has easy-to-access service ports, and is resistant to drain clogs.
