After experiencing repeated basement dampness and signs of water seepage during rainy weather, a homeowner in Perryville, MD realized that their existing waterproofing setup was no longer effective. The moisture not only threatened their home’s structural integrity but also created concerns about potential mold growth and air quality. Wanting a long-term, professional solution, they turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for expert guidance and support.
During our comprehensive inspection, we discovered that an aging sump pump and lack of interior drainage were allowing water to pool around the foundation and enter the basement. To address the issue, we installed our patented WaterGuard Interior Drainage System, which is uniquely designed to sit above the footing, avoiding the “mud zone” where traditional drains can clog. We paired this with our SuperSump Premier Sump Pump, a powerful, cast-iron unit equipped with an airtight lid and alarm system to ensure reliable performance and added protection.
This combination now provides the homeowner with a clean, dry, and permanently protected basement space.
This Perryville resident had a block foundation and water would seep in during heavy rainfall, causing mold to grow. In the corner, we removed the old sump to install our TripleSafe pump system with a twin liner. This system also includes the UltraSump battery back-up with an alarm system that will keep the basement safe from power outages, a blown circuit or system error.
In this cement block basement, the owners had heavy water intake due to recent rainfall they were experiencing. The basement didn't have proper waterproofing systems to get out the water it was taking on, which led to our team installing our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system. We dug out a trench around the perimeter of the foundation that would hold in place the sub-floor drain that connects down into the sump pump system. Once the water channels down the drainage system into the sump, the water is safely pumped out and away from the home.
This homeowner contacted us due to water seepage on a basement wall that has been getting worse over time. The team went in and installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the contracted walls around the foundation. The vapor barrier will capture any moisture or wall leakage that comes through and carry it down to our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that connects to the sump pump. Now that the water has been removed from the walls, your basement will no longer be wet.
