This customer contacted us regarding water leaking in the basement when it rains. We installed our TrenchDrain Drainage Pipe System which is uniquely designed to span doorways, hatchway entrances, and similar entryway doors. Any water passing over the drain is collected through the openings and redirected to a sump pump. This product is flushed, up against the doorway and patched with fresh concrete.
This Elkton customer contacted us regarding an unfinished basement having water entering in the corner of the cement block foundation, which would increase during rain and snow melt. Our team installed WaterGuard around the perimeter of the basement, which effectively captures wall and floor seepage before it reaches the basement floor. We finished up with our CleanSpace, which is a moisture and vapor barrier that forces wall seepage to flow into the drain system that is around the perimeter.
The owner of this restaurant in Elkton, MD reached out to our company looking for help for his wet basement. For as long as his restaurant has been open, he has been getting water in the basement and since the basement always collects water, he could not utilize this large space for much needed storage.
After sending our inspector out to assess this basement, he came up with the best solution to not only keep it dry during rainy weather, but to also make this large basement, a usable space.
This installation consisted of Waterguard and a CleanSpace Vapor Barrier around the full perimeter of the basement, two Triple Safe Sump Pumps with Ultra Sump Battery Back-ups and a Trench Drain. We also removed and hauled away most of the current concrete floor and poured a new concrete pad in its place.
This homeowner called us regarding water intrusion from the basement cement walls and mold started to grow in the area. In order to prevent further water damage to the cellar, we installed our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that will capture any type of wall leakage before it hits the floor. This drainage channel is hidden beneath a layer of concrete that flows down and connects to the sump pump system. By installing the WaterGuard system, you will have the certainty of having a dry basement all the time, which will provide peace of mind.
In Elkton, this owner reached out to Basement Systems to install a drain at the bottom of the stairwell entering into the home. We dug out part of the foundation to install our TrenchDrain and tied it into the existing drain tile that runs along under the foundation. Our TrenchDrain is reinforced plastic that won't crack and effectively captures any surface water on the stairway and doorway.
