This customer wanted to have a code-approved Egress Window Well installed in their home so the basement could be finished and used as extra living space.
We installed an Egress Rockwell System because it is by far the best egress window well system available on the market. We also installed a WellDuct window well drain to guarantee that the water in the window well will never flood into the basement.
Customer had a finished basement with minimal natural light and asked that we come out to install an Egress Window for them. An Egress window is a large opening that is large enough to escape out of in case of emergencies and is also a way to allow in a lot of natural lighting.
We first had to do a dig-out and cut through the poured foundation. Once we had the opening for the window, we then installed a 27 x 45 In-Swing Egress with an Egress well, ladder, metal grate, and cover.
This Edgewood, MD homeowner had been struggling with persistent water seepage in their basement, which led to a damp, uncomfortable environment and raised concerns about potential long-term damage. The moisture was affecting the air quality and structure of the home, prompting the homeowner to seek a permanent solution. After contacting Quality 1st, our team assessed the situation and recommended a dynamic waterproofing system tailored to the home’s needs.
To address the issue, we installed our patented WaterGuard Drainage System along the basement perimeter to capture water and direct it away from the space. Additionally, we added our TrenchDrain System to prevent surface water from entering through the basement's entry points. CleanSpace Wall Panels were applied to shield against moisture, while our powerful TripleSafe Sump Pump was installed to ensure consistent water removal. Finally, we equipped the basement with our IceGuard Discharge Line to maintain proper drainage during freezing conditions.
Together, these systems effectively eliminated moisture intrusion, transforming the basement into a dry, healthy, and protected space.
In this unfinished basement, water and mud would come into the home during heavy rainstorms and it was also believed that water was coming in through the concrete walls. We removed and replaced the old sump system with our TripleSafe Sump pump that will auto-adjust to meet the pumping requirements. The system is installed with an UltraSump battery backup that protects the new system from flooding during power outages.
This customer's basement stairwell door area would flood when it rains due to the small drain filling up with leaves and debris. We dug up the cement floor to create the installation of our TrenchDrain system, which would redirect any water to the nearest sump pump. By capturing any surface water and redirecting to the sump, this prevents flooding and any water from entering in home.
