In Manahawkin, NJ, a homeowner began to notice sinking and uneven concrete along their front sidewalk, a problem caused by increased moisture levels and soil displacement beneath the surface. These conditions not only compromised the sidewalk’s appearance but also created potentially hazardous walking conditions. Concerned about safety and curb appeal, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st to find a reliable and effective solution.
Our team responded with a thorough evaluation to assess the extent of the settlement and identify the underlying causes, ensuring we could develop a tailored repair plan to meet the homeowner’s needs.
To address the issue, we utilized our patented PolyLevel Foam Injection system, which involved injecting high-density polyurethane foam beneath the sunken concrete slabs. This foam expanded to fill soil voids and gently lifted the slabs back to their original level, stabilizing the surface quickly and efficiently with minimal disruption. After lifting the concrete, we applied our UV-resistant NexusPro Joint Sealant along the joints to prevent future moisture infiltration and protect against cracking or further displacement.
The combined use of PolyLevel and NexusPro restored the sidewalk to a smooth, level, and safe condition, providing the homeowner with a durable, long-lasting solution that enhances both safety and curb appeal!
