He suggested they use polyurethane foam to be injected underneath the concrete in order to lift it. Our foreman, Victor Leon, used the PolyLevel Injection foam which is done by drilling small holes in the concrete slab. A homeowner in Seaside Park, New Jersey noticed the floors in their home were sagging, their walls were cracking, and the main beams in the crawl space were unsound. These are all the symptoms of foundation settlement. When a crawl space is built, block columns could be spaced too far apart, which can lead to overloading and sagging between the columns. Weak soil can also cause the existing columns to sink or settle, which creates a gap between the top of the column and the bottom of the girder it was supporting. This can pose as a safety issue not only to the homeowner, but to the home as well.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement System and our System Design Specialist, Jack Huber, was able to help them come up with a plan to fix this issue. He suggested steel support system to help stabilize the foundation. Our foremen installed the SmartJack System, which do not replace the existing columns, but they help to bring strength and stability to the foundation. This process is done by assembling the steel beams into the soil. The support beams and floor joists are immediately stabilized and the above floors and walls will be lifted and stabilized. The support system is engineered to support large homes and load-bearing wall construction.
Concrete Repair Specialist, Jack Huber, recommended our concrete raising solution, PolyLevel for the sinking concrete around this pool area. Over time, the concrete slabs had settled from the weak soil underneath. PolyLevel will fill the voids between the slab and the soil, raise the existing slab back towards its original level, and permanently stabilize the area to prevent future settlement.
Concrete Foreman, Nick, and his team raised each sinking and settling slab around this pool area by injecting polyurethane foam underneath the slabs. Small penny-sized holes are drilled into the concrete slab and using special equipment, PolyLevel is injected underneath, expanding to lift the slab. Once each slab is leveled, the foam begins to harden to stabilize the concrete. PolyLevel is perfect for around the pool area since its waterproof and environmentally friendly.

The crew drilled small, penny-sized holes into the concrete slabs, injected Polylevel underneath the slab, and began raising it back to level. This process is repeated until the entire area has been repaired. A great thing about Polylevel is that it is environmentally friendly, making it a safe product to have in the ground. It is also waterproof and will not wash out, from under the slab, during the next heavy rain.
Since the installation, the homeowner was satisfied to see his patio fully repaired. He did not have to worry about accidents nor home damages. Since then, he has been fully satisfied.

The installation is quick and easy and is done by drilling small penny-sized holes into the slab.
