Two steel beams were running East to West in the crawl space, one was a full beam, the other had a joint with no support. Customer had another company come out and install a temp support, but he needed something more permanent. We came out and installed a SmartJack, which provides solid support for sagging floors and undersized beams. Smart Jacks are galvanized for corrosion resistance and can hold up to 60,000 pounds.
This was a remarkable basement makeover. We took this basement from storage space to a beautiful, usable living and entertainment space, completed with a full bathroom.
The installation materials for this project consisted of TBF Everlast Walls, WoodLook-Stoney Oak Flooring, a Complete Ceiling and 5 Interior Doors.
This Ellicott City customer had a finished basement and they were looking to brighten up the space naturally. A great way to do so is with an Egress Window. We came out and installed out a 48x48 Slider Egress Window with a 48x66x48 Rockwell and Rockwell Cover.
In this basement in Ellicott City, MD, the owner was looking to get more light into the lower part of the home and a safer way out incase of emergencies. On the outside of the home we excavated soil down to the foundation of the home in order for us to install our Egress RockWell. What lies beneath can have a bigger impact than most homeowners realize. In Ellicott City, MD, one homeowner discovered this firsthand when they became overwhelmed by persistent moisture and musty odors rising from their crawl space. Over time, the area had grown increasingly damp, with visible signs of wear, wood deterioration, and a lingering sense of unclean air throughout the home. Concerned about the long-term effects on both their health and their property’s foundation, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st Basement Systems for a lasting, professional solution.
After a thorough inspection, our team identified widespread moisture intrusion caused by exposed earth, poor sealing, and lack of vapor protection. To resolve the issue, we installed our patented CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, a durable, 20-mil thick liner engineered to seal the crawl space floor and walls completely. This system isolates the home from ground moisture, reduces humidity, and helps prevent mold and structural damage.
The results were immediate, the crawl space became clean, dry, and protected, offering the homeowner renewed peace of mind and long-term protection beneath their home.
