At this College Park home, the owner wanted to encapsulate the dirt crawl space that was bringing moisture into the home. We installed our CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system to capture any vapor or moisture that would leak into the home. Once the space was cleared out of minor debris, fiberglass, and Styrofoam from the walls, we installed our SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier that will eliminate humidity.
The homeowner was getting a massive amount of water in the basement and the bottom of the stairwell had no access to drain the water. We dug out a trench between the door and the stairwell to install our TrenchDrain Entry Drainage system, which is designed to capture the surface water. The heavy-duty plastic drain is reinforced, which prevents rust, moisture damage and averts water coming into the home, keeping your area dry.
Our company was called out to this property in Hampstead, MD to evaluate a wet basement and look into some basement window replacements. After arriving at this property, water intrusion and damage were clearly visible. Our solution to this water intrusion was to install our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier, Waterguard, and a SuperSump. Together, these items make the ultimate waterproofing system. Any water that may seep down the basement wall will be directed down to the WaterGuard where it will then make its way over to the SuperSump to be pumped out and away from the home's foundation.
In Manchester, MD, a homeowner was dealing with water seeping into their basement through an old window, which created damp conditions and raised concerns about potential damage, mold, and air quality. Seeking a permanent solution, they contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems, and our team quickly went to work.
First, we installed our WaterGuard Drainage System around the basement perimeter to capture and direct the water away from the foundation. Next, to address the specific issue with the window area, we added our WellDuct System to channel water from the window well into the drainage system, preventing further moisture buildup. Additionally, we installed our RockWell Egress Window to seal the entry point and protect against future water intrusion, improving both safety and ventilation.
Together, these systems restored the basement to a dry, stable, and healthy environment, giving the homeowner peace of mind knowing their basement is now fully protected!
What looked like a minor moisture issue quickly escalated into a serious crawl space problem for a homeowner in Boring, MD, raising alarms about mold growth, wood rot, and potential structural damage. Determined to protect their home, they reached out to Quality 1st for a permanent solution.
After a thorough inspection, our team developed a customized waterproofing strategy tailored to the specific needs of the space. We began by installing our patented Drainage Matting System to direct water toward our newly installed SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump, designed for efficient water removal in tight areas. To ensure the system performs even in freezing conditions, we added our IceGuard Discharge Line, which prevents backups if exterior pipes freeze.
To address insulation and humidity concerns, we installed SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the crawl space walls to create a thermal barrier that resists moisture and improves energy efficiency. We then sealed the space with our durable CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, which prevents vapor intrusion from the ground while creating a clean, dry environment. Vent Covers were added to block outside air, and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was installed to regulate humidity and ensure long-term air quality.
With these advanced solutions working together, the homeowner now enjoys a fully protected crawl space and the peace of mind that comes with lasting moisture control, courtesy of Quality 1st!
