Recently in Rising Sun, MD, a homeowner was growing frustrated with ongoing water seepage in their basement, caused by an old sump pump that was no longer capable of handling the large volume of water entering the space. Tired of dealing with water damage, the homeowner reached out to Quality 1st for a long-term waterproofing solution.
Our team arrived at the home and installed a comprehensive system, including our patented WaterGuard Drainage System to capture water along the perimeter, TrenchDrain to manage surface water, and our TripleSafe Sump Pump System for powerful, reliable pumping. To protect against winter freeze-ups, we added the IceGuard Discharge Line, ensuring water could continue to be discharged even in cold weather. Finally, we installed the high-powered SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to maintain optimal humidity levels and prevent mold growth.
With these systems in place, the basement was completely transformed into a dry, healthy, and inviting space, giving the homeowner peace of mind and confidence that their home was fully protected!
This was a very tough, low crawl space with lots of dampness. We had to clean it out first and remove all the organic material. Then we installed a drainage system with a SmartSump to deal with the water issues. The floor and walls were covered with our Cleanspace Encapsulation System to keep the moisture from the ground from evaporating into the air. The result is a transformed, dry, and safe crawl space.
For this job, we came out to the customer's home and replaced the current cinder blocks they used as a support system with our SmartJack System. Smart Jacks are adjustable supports that provide support to sagging floors and also lift and restore them to their original position.
This customer had a large project including basement Waterproofing, Finishing and Egress installation. This part of the project was the Egress window, we had to replace the customer's current standard basement window with a Slider Egress as well as a RockWell and RockWell Cover.
In this crawl space, the uneven dirt was in need of excavation to encapsulate the entire space. We excavated the dirt out of the crawl space and leveled the ground to install our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. Once the system was installed, we also wrapped each pier with our Vapor Barrier and placed SilverGlo insulated wall panels around the foundation, which then completely encapsulated the dirt crawl space.
