Quality 1st Basement Systems was contacted by this homeowner in Jersey City, New Jersey due to their foundation wall becoming unstable and bowing inwards. Our System Design Specialist, Dane Cuccinello, provided an inspection and suggested they install a wall reinforcement system. This will allow the walls to become stable and safe. Our foreman arrived a few days later and installed our Carbon Armor Wall Reinforcement System. CarbonArmor is a long-lasting and durable system that's ten times stronger than steel. It's intended to stabilize the foundation walls and is applied to the wall with epoxy resin. When the job was complete, the homeowner was happy to see their walls were stabilized!
Push Piers were installed in Jersey City home as there was noticeable foundation cracks. The homeowner felt the floor was slanted as the foundation was sinking. Push Pier Systems utilize high-strength round steel tube sections and a load transfer bracket to stabilize and/or lift sinking or settling foundations. The foundation bracket is secured against the existing footing and pier sections are driven hydraulically through the foundation bracket and into the soil below using the combined structural weight and any contributory soil load as resistance. The homeowner was happy to know the foundation of the home was stabilized and safe to live in.
A homeowner in Ocean Gate, New Jersey noticed their floors were sagging in the upper levels of the home. Sagging floors are a common sign of a foundation issue. This can happen because when crawl space columns are spaced too far apart, the beam can become overloaded and sag between the columns. This means this girder sags with it and so does the floor above.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Joseph Mancini, was able to provide an inspection and help them find a plan to fix this issue. He suggested they use a steel support system in the crawl space to assist the columns in supporting the home. Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, used The SmartJack System in the crawl space to lift the floors above to their original position. This process is done by assembling the components and tightening the SmartJack system into place. The support beam and floor joists are immediately stabilized and lifted to their original position. This system is not to replace the existing columns, but to add strength and stability to what is there.
This homeowner in Brick, New Jersey noticed their basement walls were bowing inwards. This is a sign of foundation issues from the soil being saturated and pushing against the foundation. They contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Matt Abrahamsen, provided an inspection and suggested they use straps to hold and stabilize the walls. Our foreman, Mario Barron, installed the CarbonArmor Straps which includes flexible carbon fiber straps. These straps are 10 times stronger in tension than steel and are bonded to the interior wall.
