Concrete Pool Deck Repair In Colonia, NJ
Challenge
This concrete pool deck at this Colonia, NJ property was showing signs that the slabs were no longer sitting as they should around the pool. The homeowner noticed gaps in the concrete, including an area where the deck appeared to be rising up from the pool and leaving a noticeable separation. The pool liner had also shifted, adding another concern around the pool area. Because the concrete surrounding a pool needs to provide a stable, usable surface, the homeowner wanted the deck evaluated and the affected concrete addressed without simply leaving the gaps to continue developing.
Solution
Our team at Quality 1st, led by Foreman Ash, used PolyLevel to help address the affected concrete pool deck. PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane material that is injected through small access points drilled into the concrete. Once injected beneath the slab, the material expands into available voids and provides support beneath the concrete while helping raise the slab toward a more appropriate position. For this Colonia pool deck, the goal was to improve the position and support of the affected concrete and reduce the noticeable gaps around the pool. The work focused on the concrete itself, helping create a more even and supported pool deck surface while addressing the areas where the concrete had shifted.
