Lifting a Sunken Sidewalk in North Wales, PA
Challenge
In North Eales, PA, a homeowner contacted us after noticing that the concrete slab outside their front door had sunk significantly, creating a noticeable trip hazard and an uneven surface. Upon inspection from our specialist, Greg, he discovered a void beneath the slab, which was compromising its stability and causing it to settle over time. Concerned about safety and curb appeal, the homeowner wanted a reliable, long-lasting solution to restore the slab to its original level.
Solution
We recommended PolyLevel, a specialized polyurethane foam injection system that fills voids under concrete and lifts the slab back to its proper position without requiring full demolition or replacement. Our crew carefully drilled access points into the slab and injected the PolyLevel foam beneath, which expanded to fill the empty space and stabilize the concrete. The slab was then gradually lifted to level, restoring a safe and even walking surface. With the PolyLevel system, the homeowner in now has a secure, level front entryway that eliminates trip hazards, prevents further settling, and preserves the integrity and appearance of the concrete. The process is fast, minimally invasive, and provides a long-term solution compared to traditional replacement methods.
