Lifting and Leveling a Concrete Patio in Newark, DE
Challenge
A homeowner in Newark, DE who previously had a basement waterproofing system installed by our team noticed new issues outside their home. Their large backyard patio had gradually sunk 5–6 inches, creating an uneven surface and visible cracks across the slab. The slope posed safety risks and also allowed water to pool against certain areas, which could lead to further damage. The homeowner wanted the patio restored without the cost and hassle of tearing it out and replacing it.
Solution
Our crew recommended PolyLevel, a lightweight yet powerful polyurethane foam, to lift and stabilize the sunken slab. By carefully injecting the foam beneath the concrete, we were able to raise the patio back to its original level, closing gaps and eliminating tripping hazards. To further protect the slab, we applied NexusPro sealant to all visible cracks and joints. NexusPro is specially designed to remain flexible and durable against seasonal weather changes, preventing water infiltration that could cause the slab to sink again. With both products working together, the homeowner’s patio is now level, protected, and built to last for years without worry.
