Transforming a Sunken and Cracked Patio in Boonton, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Boonton, NJ had grown concerned over their sinking backyard patio. The concrete slabs had become uneven over time, creating both a visual eyesore and a serious tripping hazard for guests and family. The issue not only affected the patio’s functionality but also its overall appearance, diminishing the value and comfort of the backyard space. They contacted us at Quality 1st Basement Systems for a long-lasting solution.
Solution
Our team sent out our System Design Specialist, Jeff to inspect the sunken areas. After a thorough evaluation, we recommended our PolyLevel concrete lifting system. PolyLevel uses a high-density polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the slabs through small, strategically placed holes. As the foam expands, it fills the voids under the concrete, lifting and stabilizing each section with precision.
Our experienced production crew, led by our Foreman, Ramon arrived on the scheduled date and began the work by drilling small, nearly unnoticeable holes in the affected areas. The PolyLevel foam was injected carefully, and within minutes, the sunken slabs began to rise. Once level, the team sealed the holes and cleaned the site. The entire process was minimally invasive, completed in just a few hours, and restored both safety and aesthetics to the homeowner’s outdoor space.
