Slabs around a backyard patio began to shift and sink at a home in Oakland, NJ, leaving the surface uneven and hazardous. The homeowner, concerned about both safety and appearance, recognized the signs of concrete settlement and reached out to Quality 1st for help.
Concrete settlement like this is typically caused by changes in the soil underneath, such as poor compaction, moisture fluctuations, or erosion, that create voids and allow the concrete to sink. Understanding the need for a lasting solution, our team performed a thorough inspection to assess the extent of the damage and determine the best course of action.
To address the issue, we recommended our advanced PolyLevel Foam Injection system. This minimally invasive technique involves injecting a high-density polyurethane foam beneath the affected slabs. As the foam expands, it fills any empty space and gently lifts the concrete back to its original level.
The result is a stable, even surface that cures quickly and resists future sinking. Once the job was complete, the homeowner was left with a smooth, safe patio, and the peace of mind that comes with a permanent, reliable repair!
A concrete slab in the backyard of this Old Bridge Township home was sinking about 3 inches. System Design Specialist, Maurice Robinson, recommended PolyLevel since it would be able to raise the slab without having to remove and replace the concrete. A small penny size hole is drilled into the concrete slab, the PolyLevel foam is then injected underneath, raising the slab back to its desired level. The homeowners were able to walk on the slab within 15 minutes of job completion.
A South Amboy, NJ, found settling on their concrete sidewalk, so they contacted us for an estimate. Our System Design Specialist, Nelson, inspected the concrete and recommended the Polylevel Injection as the best repair method. A few weeks later, our crew arrived at the home and used a waterproof polyurethane foam to lift and level the concrete. Fifteen minutes after the installation, the foam was cured, and the sidewalk was repaired. The homeowner was happy with the final results!
Uneven, sunken concrete along the entryway sidewalk had become a growing source of frustration for a South Amboy, NJ homeowner. The settling slabs were not only an eyesore but also created a serious tripping hazard for anyone approaching the home. Concerned about safety and further damage, the homeowner turned to Quality 1st for a permanent and non-invasive solution to restore their walkway.
After assessing the extent of the settlement, our team installed PolyLevel Foam Injections, a lightweight, high-density polyurethane designed to lift and level sunken concrete with pinpoint accuracy. Once the sidewalk was returned to its proper height, we applied NexusPro Joint Sealant to seal the cracks and joints, preventing further water infiltration that could lead to more shifting.
With the project complete, the sidewalk was fully restored, level, smooth, and safe, greatly enhancing the home's curb appeal and eliminating the risk of trip hazards!
