A concrete slab on a front porch was lifted and leveled by our polylevel team. The sinking slab was an eyesore for the homeowner and wanted to get it fixed without replacing the whole porch. Polylevel is a polyurethane foam that lifts the concrete slab back to its original place in a matter of minutes. Polylevel is effective and environmentally friendly.

A resident in Manahawkin, New Jersey noticed their floors were sagging and becoming bouncy. The cause of this could be from the existing columns being spaced too far apart, or they have settled. If these columns are spaced too far apart, the beam can become overloaded and sag between the columns. Weak soil can also cause the columns to sink or settle, creating a gap between the top of the column and the bottom of the girder.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems, and our System Design Specialist, Steve Ventriglio, provided an inspection of the home. He suggested they use a steel support system to stabilize and level the girders and floor joists. Our foreman, Jonathan Neira, used the SmartJack Support System in the crawl space. This system does not replace the existing columns, but they add strength and stability to what is there. These are installed by digging out a hole where the SmartJacks will go. Then, high strength galvanized steel tubing is assembled and connected to the support beam and the SmartJack System is tightened into place. The support beam and floor joists are immediately stabilized and the above floors can be lifted back toward level.
