This Baldwin customer reached out to our company in need of basement waterproofing. The customer had multiple locations in the basement, where water would come through the block foundation whenever it rained. We sent our experienced inspector out to the property to assess and come up with the best solution for correcting the water intrusion. The solution he came up with was to install Waterguard and a CleanSpace along the problematic wall. The CleanSpace will direct any water intruding through the foundation, down to the Waterguard, which will then direct the water over to our SuperSump Pump that we installed as well and will be pumped out of the basement and away from the house. We also installed a SaniDry XP that will keep humidity low and will tie into the sump pump, so not only will the SuperSump pump out the intruding water from the block walls, but will also dump out any moisture collected from the dehumidifier.
In this old cellar, a musty smell was starting to occur because the basement was getting humid due to the sump pump system failing. At times the system wasn't able to pump out the amount of water it was taking in and began to flood the area. We removed the old system and installed our SuperSump pump system with a Zoeller M53 cast iron pump and have the WaterWatch alarm system that will allow the homeowner to know if water levels get too high.
Customer had concerns that when it rained, water was coming in through the wall, dripping down and puddling on the floor. To correct this, we installed a CleanSpace vapor barrier on the wall, Waterguard was installed along the perimeter which directs the water coming in, to our SuperSump Pump.
