Concerned by the clear signs of water intrusion and structural stress in their Manchester, NJ crawl space, a homeowner sought professional guidance after noticing damp walls and weakening support beams. These conditions signaled that moisture buildup was beginning to impact the home’s stability, raising the risk of mold growth, wood rot, and long-term damage. Wanting a dependable solution that would address both the underlying moisture issues and the structural concerns, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st for a thorough evaluation and expert recommendations.
Following a detailed assessment, our team identified the primary sources of moisture and designed a customized plan to restore the crawl space to a safe and healthy condition. Crawl spaces are often infrequently visited by the homeowner. With that in mind, how would the homeowner know if their sump pump system was working properly? Annual maintenance is the answer! Quality 1st Service Technician Justin inspected the crawl space and the SmartSump Crawl Space Sump Pump System in this Manchester Township home. After removing the air-tight lid and removing the pump for inspection and cleaning, the service technician discovered that the pump was not, in fact, functioning. The outlet was also tested, but it was determined that the sump pump installed several years prior needed to be replaced. With customer's authorization, a new SmartSump 1/3 hp cast-iron Zoeller pump was installed to provide once again a reliable crawl space waterproofing system!
The owner of this Keasbey, NJ home had a number of basement and foundation problems. The walls had a few cracks, and the home was sinking in one corner. The basement also took on water whenever it would rain. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed Push Piers to repair the foundation and stabilize the home.
