The integrity of this Cape May, NJ home was under attack from below, as heavy rainfall brought persistent and increasing water seepage into the crawl space. This wasn't just a damp annoyance; the homeowner correctly recognized the danger it posed, the potential for severe structural rot and dangerous mold-growth. Realizing that a long-term problem required a professional, lasting fix, they turned to Quality 1st.
Our team immediately conducted a thorough inspection to accurately diagnose the moisture intrusion points and the existing conditions. Based on this analysis, we engineered a customized, multi-point waterproofing plan designed for complete moisture management, ensuring the homeowner's peace of mind was restored.
The first line of protection was the installation of our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System, which completely seals off the crawl space from the earth's moisture and humidity. This was complemented by our patented SilverGlo Insulation Panels, which not only enhance the moisture barrier but also boost the home's overall energy efficiency by insulating the crawl space walls. Finally, to actively control the air quality, we integrated our high-capacity SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier.
This powerful trio works together to maintain a perpetually dry, healthy, and energy-efficient environment, effectively eliminating the threat of rot and mold, and transforming the crawl space into a clean, usable area!
What began as a faint musty odor soon revealed a much bigger issue for a homeowner in Cape May, NJ, who discovered rising moisture levels steadily creeping through their crawl space. Worried about the threat of structural decay, mold growth, and declining indoor air quality, they reached out to Quality 1st for a permanent solution.
Once onsite, our experts conducted a thorough assessment, pinpointing the sources of moisture and determining exactly what the space needed for long-term protection. From this evaluation, we designed a customized waterproofing and insulation plan tailored to the home’s unique conditions.
To fully restore the crawl space, we installed our SilverGlo Insulation Panels to improve thermal efficiency and resist moisture, followed by our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System to seal the area and block humidity from entering. To complete the system, we added our high-powered SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, ensuring the air remained dry, clean, and mold-resistant.
With these solutions working together, the crawl space was transformed into a dry, healthy, and efficient environment, giving the homeowner complete peace of mind and long-lasting protection against future moisture problems!
Quality 1st Service technician Frank provided this homeowner with top notch annual maintenance on the TripleSafe Sump Pump wet basement solution. As the liner can accumulate dirt and sediment as ground water passes through the system, Frank cleaned the primary 1/3 hp cast-iron Zoeller pump as well as the secondary 1/2 hp pump and the UltraSump Battery Backup Sump Pump. Check valves were replaced, weep holes cleared, pump stands were cleaned and liner was sanitized. All parts were reassembled, replaced in the liner, and closed with the watertight lid to keep debris from entering. The system could continue pumping up to 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head effectively and efficiently!
An existing customer of ours had referred us to Deborah from Stanhope, NJ, who noticed large stair step cracking in the exterior of her foundation. We sent Senior Design Specialist, Joe, out to inspect the foundation and design a solution that would stabilize the foundation permanently.
Joe recommended our State-of-the-Art Push Piers. The perfect solution for any home that has shifted or settled. Joe explained that cracks form when the soil beneath your home is no longer strong enough to support the foundation, and therefore when the foundation shifts, cracks form from the movement. Ignoring cracks in a foundation will only increase the chances of the foundation becoming unstable and unsafe. Joe designed a solution where 16 Push Piers would be installed on the outside of the foundation, deep in the strong soil, to transfer the weight of the home to the piers to prevent further settling and movement.
