To help keep the SuperSump Sump Pump System operating in top shape as a reliable wet basement solution, Quality 1st Basements recommends annual maintenance. At this Perryville, MD home, Service Technician Javier removed the airtight lid to access the cast iron 1/3 hp Zoeller for cleaning. Once all components were checked, cleaned, and/or replaced, the liner was cleaned and sanitized before the pump system was reassembled. The UltraSump Battery Backup Pump, serving as protection should the power go out, was also checked, cleaned, and tested. The operation and life of this homeowner's wet basement protection system has been enhanced through annual maintenance, continuing the ability of the system to pump up to 2,220 gallons of water per day at an 8 foot head on the primary pump alone!
Customer currently had a small window in her finished basement that she wanted to turn into an Egress so if there was ever an emergency while in the basement, there was a safe place to exit.
We came out and installed a 48x48 Slider Egress window with a Rockwell and Rockwell Elite cover. We also installed a WellDuct Drainage system to tie into her existing french drain.
This customer had just purchased a home in Chestertown, MD and was in the market to get the crawlspace encapsulated.
We came out and installed our Cleanspace Vapor Barrier with Drainage Matting and a Smart Drain.
This homeowner contacted us due to water seepage on a basement wall that has been getting worse over time. The team went in and installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier on the contracted walls around the foundation. The vapor barrier will capture any moisture or wall leakage that comes through and carry it down to our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that connects to the sump pump. Now that the water has been removed from the walls, your basement will no longer be wet.
In this unfinished basement, water was coming into the home intermittently from both the floor and walls when it would rain. We installed our WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system that will carry the captured water down the drain and into the sump pump system. The team placed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier around the foundation walls where the water was coming in from which captures the vapor and leakage coming in through the walls. Lastl,y we removed the old sump system and installed our SuperSump pump with Zoeller M53 cast iron pump that will pump up to 3,900 gallons of water. With this system install the basement will no longer be damp with humidity or odors and this creates a new dry space.
