The basement of this Port Monmouth, NJ home was leaking. The homeowners contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to waterproof their basement. Upon inspection, it was determined that the basement flooding had caused the sheet rock to grow mold. Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a waterproofing system then replaced the damaged sheet rock with EverLast basement wall panels. EverLast panels are completely waterproof, insulate the basement, and look great. The owners are very happy with their now dry basement!
A homeowner in Middletown, New Jersey contacted Quality 1st because of the water that was entering the basement during heavy rains.
Our System Design Specialist inspected the basement and noticed the water entering. WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement, underneath the floor slab, on top of the foundation footing to keep the system out of the mud zone. WaterGuard collects the water that seeps through the basements walls and floors and pumps it out of the basement.
IceGuard was also installed outside the home, on top of the discharge line to provide water with a secondary escape route. When water is frozen the IceGuard allows water to escape through slotted openings in the drain pipe. This system ensures any water the sump pump is removing is safely cleared away from the home.
We fixed this Port Monmouth crawl space by stabilizing the floor structure. Our team installed Smart Ja ckCrawl Space Stabliziers against the floor joist of this crawl space to add additnal support to prevent future sagging.
A homeowner in Port Monmouth, New Jersey was experiencing water coming into their crawl space. This can happen because the loose backfilled soil around the foundation becomes saturated over time. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure against the walls which pushes water and moisture in. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Javier Romero, provided an inspection and helped them with a plan to fix this issue. He suggested they encapsulate their crawl space to seal it off from the earth.
Our foreman, Juan Garcia, installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System throughout the crawl space. This system is thick like a pool liner and will keep the crawl space dry and keep out moisture and humidity. The vapor barrier system will also protect the crawl space from mold and musty smells, and also prevent insects from finding their way in. The homeowner was pleased with the outcome of how their crawl space was transformed.
Maintaining your sump pump system provides a full amount of protection, against water damage, for your home. Our service team provides thorough cleaning for the system to ensure it will not clog over the years.
