Basement sump pumps work hard to keep ground water from seeping into the living space. As with the SuperSump Premier Sump Pump System, Quality 1st recommends annual maintenance to ensure peak performance of the system which is capable of pumping up to 2,220 gallons of water per hour. As ground water that moves through the sump pump system can be dirty and silt can accumulate at the bottom of the liner, part of the annual maintenance includes removal of the 1/3 hp cast-iron pump for cleaning and checking of all of its components. Service technician Andrew left this homeowner with peace of mind after reassembling and flood testing the system!
Quality 1st Service technician Frank provided this homeowner with top notch annual maintenance on the TripleSafe Sump Pump wet basement solution. As the liner can accumulate dirt and sediment as ground water passes through the system, Frank cleaned the primary 1/3 hp cast-iron Zoeller pump as well as the secondary 1/2 hp pump and the UltraSump Battery Backup Sump Pump. Check valves were replaced, weep holes cleared, pump stands were cleaned and liner was sanitized. All parts were reassembled, replaced in the liner, and closed with the watertight lid to keep debris from entering. The system could continue pumping up to 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head effectively and efficiently!
To keep a SuperSump Sump Pump System operating at its best as a reliable wet basement solution, Quality 1st recommends annual maintenance. The airtight lid is removed to access the cast iron 1/3 hp Zoeller for cleaning, changing check valves, and checking the float switch. The WaterWatch alarm batteries are replaced and the sump pump liner is cleaned and sanitized. Annual maintenance performed in Trenton, the operation and life of this homeowner's SuperSump system was enhanced through the annual maintenance performed by Jerry, one of Quality 1st's Service Technicians.
In addition to spray cleaning the coils and drip tray on the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier, the drain line was checked, found to be kinked, and therefore replaced. Service Technician Anton wanted the system operating in top peak performance, capable of removing 109 liters of water per day. Additionally, replacing the filters allowed the system to remove odors and dust particles from the air as small as 2 microns!
