Foundation Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation & Foundation Support in West Milford, NJ

A homeowner in West Milford, New Jersey was experiencing water and moisture getting into their crawl space. That dampness and moisture was absorbed by the wooden floor joist which created a sagging sensation on the first floor of the home. Water and moisture gets into the crawl space because of the exposed earth. Since the earth is damp, the water vapor travels upwards into the crawl space, and then into the home. Over time the crawl space begins to experience wood rotting, mold growth and musty smells. Our System Design Specialist did a thorough inspection and suggested encapsulation to seal the crawls space completely from dampness, moisture and humidity. Next, the foreman installed the SmartJack System which are steel support systems that are used to permanently stabilize the floor joists in the crawl space.
