Foundation Repair Photo Album: Foundation Wall Stabilized In Jackson NJ
A homeowner in Jackson, New Jersey noticed their basement wall had started to crack and bow in. This can happen because the soil around your home can expand and put a lot of pressure on your foundation walls. When this pressure becomes more than your wall can handle, the wall will begin to push inwards.
The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems for a solution and our foreman, Victor Leon, installed our CarbonArmor system. This CarbonArmor system is a non-invasive solution that permanently stabilizes block foundation walls. It does not require any outside digging or use of large equipment inside your home. This system will prevent the wall from leaning in at the top and moving inward.
Cracking and Leaning Walls
As you can see here, the foundation wall is cracking and leaning in spots.
Preparation For CarbonArmor
To prepare for the CarbonArmor, our Quality 1st team will grind the wall down to create a clean surface.
ArmorLock Brackets
The Quality 1st team will then secure the ArmorLock system. This overlaps with the CarbonArmor at the top of the wall to provide more support.
CarbonArmor System Complete
An epoxy resin is applied to the wall and the carbon fiber strap. Now, the CarbonArmor will resist any further bending of the wall and will hold it in place.
