Foundation Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing and Foundation Repair in Matawan, NJ
Homeowner's daughter contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems about foundation problems she noticed in the basement of her parents home. System Design Specialist, Mike Jersey, went to meet with her and her parents to inspect the cracks in the foundation and offer the best solution to the problem.
When Mike did his walk through he noticed water marks on the walls indicating to him that this basement had water seeping through cracks in the walls. Mike recommended waterproofing to prevent future water from coming through and a dehumidifier to allow proper circulation of dry air in the basement. One of the walls in the basement was bowing in while others had a few staircase cracks, both are signs that the home was settling do to the soil underneath no longer being able to hold the weight of the home.
Quality 1st Foreman, Melvin Cardoza and his crew installed WaterGuard and a SuperSump Pump to keep the basement dry. CleanSpace was installed to the walls of the basement to protect against moisture and humidity. This bright white liner fits into the WaterGuard in the floor to help drain any water coming through down to the drain and over to the pump. Wall Anchors were installed to permanently stabilize the walls and prevent further movement. These Wall Anchors are installed into the ground in strong soil to pull the wall back into place.
Quality 1st was able to secure the foundation making the home safe again. Luckily this problem was addressed and a solution was provided before the damage became extreme.
