Weakened Support Beams
The weakened support beams in this homeowner's crawl space were caused by prolonged moisture exposure, leading to wood rot and mold growth. Inadequate drainage, poor ventilation, and potential termite activity have further compromised the structural integrity, making professional repair and moisture control essential.

Before Waterproofing
An extensive inspection by our System Design Specialist was crucial to identify all underlying issues, such as hidden moisture sources, wood decay, and potential pest damage, before starting repairs. This thorough assessment ensured a customized, long-lasting solution tailored to the crawl space's specific structural and environmental challenges.

Installing StarPipe
Our crew began by excavating a trench along the interior perimeter of the crawl space, carefully sloped to ensure proper water flow. Next, they laid the StarPipe Drainage System, a perforated, high-capacity pipe designed to capture groundwater and surface moisture. The pipe was surrounded with clean gravel to enhance filtration and prevent clogging.

SmartJack Install
To install the SmartJack Support System, our crew first excavated small footings in the crawl space where additional support was needed. Each footing was filled with engineered stone for a stable, load-bearing base. Then, galvanized steel SmartJack posts were precisely cut to fit the crawl space height and positioned under sagging beams.

SmartJacks In Place
Once in place, the SmartJacks were tightened to lift and stabilize the structure, restoring strength to the floor above and providing long-term, adjustable support.

During Drainage Matting Install
The durable, dimpled plastic Drainage Matting was rolled out across the entire ground surface, creating a raised pathway for water to flow beneath it. This system directs moisture toward the StarPipe Drainage System and sump pump, preventing puddling and helping keep the area dry.

Applying CleanSpace
We installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier by first prepping the crawl space and removing any debris or obstructions. The thick, puncture-resistant liner was then carefully rolled out over the Drainage Matting and up the walls, where it was securely fastened and sealed with specialized tape and anchors.

The Benefits Of CleanSpace
The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier provides powerful moisture protection by sealing off the crawl space from the earth, preventing water vapor, mold growth, and wood rot. Its durable, tear-resistant material also improves energy efficiency, air quality, and overall home health, ultimately creating a cleaner, drier, and more stable foundation.

Fully Encapsulated
Encapsulating this homeowner's crawl space offered significant benefits, including enhanced moisture control that will prevent future wood rot, mold, and pest infestations. It improves indoor air quality by reducing allergens and musty odors, boosts energy efficiency by stabilizing temperatures, and strengthens the overall structural integrity of the home!
