Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Waterproofing Crawl Space in Metuchen, NJ
A homeowner in Metuchen, NJ contacted our Quality 1st team when they became increasingly concerned over the water entering into their crawl space when it rained. An excess of moisture in a crawl space can cause damage to the home's foundation and promote mold growth and water build-up. Our System Design Specialist Dane went out to assess the space and recommend a repair plan that our Foreman Daniel later came to install.
To waterproof this space, we equipped the home's crawl space with a new sump pump, our SuperSump System. WaterGuard Perimeter Drains were installed to create a channel for leaking water to flow through and make its way into the new sump pump. The walls of the crawl space were lined with SilverGlo Insulation to regulate the temperature of the space as well as keep out water leaking through the walls. To pull it all together, we installed a Sedona Dehumidifier for optimal moisture control. With these new installations in place, this crawl space is completely protected against water intrusion!
Crawl Space Before Waterproofing
This crawl space was suffering from a build-up of leaking water with no waterproofing system to protect it.
WaterGuard Drain Installation
Our crew digs a trench around the crawl space perimeter for us to install WaterGuard Drains that are then sealed beneath the floor with cement.
CleanSpace Directs Water into WaterGuard
We install a short lining of CleanSpace Vapor Barrier just above the WaterGuard Drains to direct water from the walls behind the vapor barrier and into the new drainage system.
SuperSump System for CrawlSpace
With our powerful and reliable SuperSump, we have upgraded this home's waterproofing system so that it may keep up with disposing of high volumes of water.
SilverGlo Installation
The visibly radiant SilverGlo insulation not only insulates crawl spaces but protects against water intrusion
