A homeowner in Old Bridge, New Jersey, was experiencing moisture and dampness after heavy rains in the crawl space. This was an issue as the crawl space was easily accessible through the basement. The basement was finished and there needed to be a way to prevent any water from leaking and damaging any personal belongings. System Design Specialist, Dane Cucinello went out to the home to inspect the affected area. Dane saw visible moisture on the walls as well as some efflorescence. Dane recommended having a full crawl space encapsulation system installed to prevent any water from flooding the area and to keep the crawl space insulated from the outside weather. Foreman Zack Juan and Co-Foreman Ruberto Cardoza, went out to encapsulate the crawl space. The team first removed all the debris that made its way in & regraded the foundation to install the SamrtPipe crawl space drainage system. Clean space drainage matting was then installed as it gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel underneath your crawl space liner. This directs the water flooding your crawl space to your perimeter crawl space drain. SilverGlo insulation panels are then drilled into the foundation walls to keep the heat from escaping outside. The team covered the crawl space floor with the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier liner to prevent water vapor and humidity from passing through. It also protects the area by keeping the area mold-free and creepy crawlers away. The team then installed the Sedona dehumidifier to keep the crawl space humidity to an all-time low so moisture does not stand a chance. The homeowner was very pleased to have the crawl space dry, healthy, and efficient!
