Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Structural Supports Installed in Monmouth County Crawl Space
After installing an addition on their Monmouth County house, this homeowner had a problem. The floor was sagging because the crawl space supports underneath it were not strong enough to hold the floor up. The problem was getting worse year by year, and after three years of worrying the homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basemetn Systems for a free estimate on how to fix the crawl space.
Quality 1st Basement Systems installed a SmartJack support system. They can support over 60,000 pounds of vertical weight, which means that this home addition will have lots of added support. Each SmartJack support is custom fit to the crawl space size, so they can be put in the tightest or largest of crawl spaces. Since the SmartJack support system is made with galvanized steel, they will never rust. To keep this crawl space healthier and dry, Quality 1st Basement Systems installed CleanSpace vapor barrier. Vapor barrier prevents moisture from coming into the crawl space, keeping it safe from humidity and dampness. The team also installed a SaniDry dehumidifier which removes water from the air. Now this crawl space has lowered humidity and structural supports.
