TrueFloor Wood Repair and Crawl Space Encapsulation in Brick, NJ

Our team at Quality 1st Basement Systems began by addressing the crawl space framing with TrueFloor. The main beam was removed and replaced to address the existing support condition. We also completed TrueFloor joist sistering and replacement, adding new structural wood alongside or in place of compromised framing where needed. This portion of the project was important because crawl space moisture solutions should not simply cover structural wood concerns. By addressing the framing first, our team could then move forward with the rest of the crawl space system. After the structural woodwork was completed, we encapsulated the crawl space using CleanSpace. Installed over the crawl space floor, CleanSpace creates a durable separation between the ground and the crawl space environment, helping limit moisture vapor from entering the space. The walls were then fitted with SilverGlo insulation panels. SilverGlo helps improve the thermal performance of the crawl space while providing a durable insulation solution designed for below-grade environments. Six SmartJacks were also installed throughout the crawl space. These adjustable steel support posts provide support beneath the structure and can be fine-tuned as needed. The completed project gave this Brick, NJ crawl space a comprehensive combination of structural repair, support, insulation, and moisture control. TrueFloor addressed the main beam and joist framing, while CleanSpace helped control ground moisture, SilverGlo improved insulation along the walls, and six SmartJacks provided additional adjustable support.
