Crawl Space Transformation in New City, NY
Challenge
A homeowner in New City, NY wanted to encapsulate their crawl space after experiencing moisture problems over the years. Water had previously entered the crawl space, particularly along one wall, while the exposed dirt floor continually allowed ground moisture to rise into the space. These conditions created elevated humidity levels and left the crawl space vulnerable to musty odors, mold growth, and reduced energy efficiency.
Solution
To permanently improve the crawl space environment, our team installed a complete encapsulation system beginning with CleanSpace. The heavy-duty liner was applied across the dirt floor and crawl space walls to create a continuous moisture barrier that helps prevent water vapor from entering the space. SilverGlo insulation panels were then installed to improve the home's energy efficiency while providing additional moisture resistance. Finally, a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was added to maintain healthy humidity levels by continuously removing excess moisture from the air. Together, these systems transformed the crawl space into a clean, dry, and protected area that supports the health and comfort of the entire home.
