Transforming a Damp Crawl Space in Woodstown, NJ
Challenge
In Woodstown, NJ, a homeowner faced relentless moisture problems in their crawl space, located in an area notorious for a high water table. Standing water was accumulating in the existing drains, and moisture appeared to be creeping through the foundation walls. Concerned about creating a healthier, more energy-efficient home, they knew it was time for a professional evaluation. Our experienced team stepped in, starting with a comprehensive inspection during the free estimate appointment. We carefully assessed the space and presented a solution focused on encapsulation, insulation, and structural support, alongside an evaluation and upgrade of the drainage system.
Solution
To seal out persistent ground moisture, we installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier throughout the crawl space, transforming it from a damp, musty area into a clean, dry, and protected environment. SilverGlo insulation was added to the walls to improve energy efficiency and maintain consistent temperature control throughout the year, helping the homeowner save on heating and cooling costs. Recognizing the high humidity and risk of mold, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to keep the air dry and safe, virtually eliminating the risk of mold or mildew growth. Additionally, to address sagging and uneven floors above, we installed SmartJacks in key areas, lifting and leveling the floors while providing long-term structural stability. The combination of these systems (CleanSpace encapsulation, SilverGlo insulation, SaniDry Sedona dehumidification, and SmartJack structural support) completely transformed the crawl space. Now, the homeowner enjoys the reassurance of a fully encapsulated, dry, energy-efficient, and structurally sound space. This project exemplifies Quality 1st Basement System’s dedication to delivering not just waterproofing and foundation solutions, but a healthier, safer, and more comfortable home environment.
