After evaluating the space, a System Design Specialist determined that a combination of SilverGlo insulation, CleanSpace encapsulation, drainage matting, StarPipe, a SmartSump system, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier would effectively resolve the problem.
Solution
Once the project was underway, the installation team began by creating a trench around the perimeter of the crawl space to position the StarPipe drainage system. This setup allowed any water seepage along the walls to be directed toward the sump pump for proper removal. To address standing water, drainage matting was laid across the crawl space floor, using its raised, textured design to guide moisture toward the perimeter drainage system.
Next, the crew installed SilverGlo insulated panels along the crawl space walls to improve energy efficiency and maintain a warmer environment. With the insulation in place, the team encapsulated the entire area using the CleanSpace vapor barrier, sealing out moisture and preventing it from permeating the crawl space. A SmartSump system was then installed in the corner to collect and pump out any water that entered the space, and a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was placed nearby to maintain dry, healthy air by removing excess humidity.
