Transforming a Damp Crawl Space in Mount Laurel, NJ
Challenge
The homeowner in Mount Laurel had long been noticing issues in their crawl space. The space had significant moisture problems, and the insulation was beginning to sag and fail. High humidity created uncomfortable conditions and raised concerns about mold, musty odors, and the potential for structural issues over time. Since the crawl space directly impacts the air quality inside the home, the homeowner wanted a solution that would not only protect the crawl space but also improve the comfort and health of the entire house.
Solution
Our team addressed the problem with a comprehensive approach. We began by encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace, a heavy-duty vapor barrier that seals out ground moisture. Next, we lined the walls with SilverGlo insulation panels, which replaced the failing insulation and added energy efficiency while giving the space a brighter, more finished appearance. Finally, we installed a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, the world’s most efficient crawl space dehumidifier, to keep humidity under control.
This combination not only eliminated moisture concerns but also ensured the crawl space would stay clean, dry, and energy-efficient for years to come.
