Crawl Space Encapsulation in Catonsville, MD
Challenge
In Catonsville, MD, a homeowner was growing increasingly concerned about her damp, cluttered crawl space. Not only did the humidity create an uncomfortable environment, but it also made the area unusable for storage. Moisture issues and poor insulation were impacting the overall health and efficiency of the home.
Solution
After reaching out to Quality 1st, the homeowner was quickly scheduled for an inspection. Our System Design Specialist conducted a thorough assessment and recommended a full crawl space encapsulation using our SilverGlo and CleanSpace systems.
Our experienced production team began by installing SilverGlo Crawl Space Wall Insulation, creating an R-11 thermal barrier that reflects heat and resists moisture. These panels also help direct any water toward the home's drainage system, further reducing the risk of standing water. Next, we installed our CleanSpace liner: a durable, antimicrobial 20-mil vapor barrier that seals out moisture and protects against mold and mildew. The result was a clean, dry, and well-insulated crawl space that not only resolved the moisture issue but also provided a functional area for storage.
