This basement had several problems. First, we had to repair the foundation, which was bowing inward. We installed our CarbonArmor straps on the walls to guarantee that the wall is stabilized. Then we installed the WaterGuard perimeter drainage system to prevent foundation seepage and connected it to our TripleSafe Sump System, which comes with two pumps plus a battery backup pump. The walls also had a lot of damage, and since the customer is thinking about finishing the basement in the future, we installed the white CleanSpace vapor barrier on the walls to keep moisture from penetrating into the living space. We also insulated the rim/joist area with spray foam. As a final touch, the customer had us install waterproof woodlook flooring, which transformed the basement. The basement is now safe to use for storage, looks great, and is ready for future finishing.
