Basement Waterproofing and Finishing in Oceanport, NJ
Challenge
A homeowner in Oceanport, NJ was growing increasingly frustrated with her partially finished basement. After every rainfall, water would seep onto the floor, resulting in moldy walls, a damp smell, and an unusable living space. The ongoing water intrusion not only impacted the basement’s comfort and appearance, but it also threatened the structural integrity of the home.
After contacting Quality 1st, our System Design Specialist, Mike conducted a thorough inspection of the basement. It was clear that the water seepage was recurring along the perimeter, and the lack of proper drainage and sump systems contributed to the moisture buildup. The basement’s environment was also encouraging mold growth, and the existing wall materials were deteriorating as a result.
Solution
To permanently control water intrusion and create a healthier space, our team designed a comprehensive waterproofing plan. We installed the WaterGuard sub-floor drainage system, a discrete yet powerful solution to collect water entering from walls and floors. This was paired with the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, offering three levels of protection to ensure reliability, even during power outages or heavy storms.
Once the basement was dry and protected, the homeowner wanted to reclaim the space with a clean, finished look. We installed EverLast Wall Restoration Panels, which are moisture-resistant and easy to maintain, replacing the mold-damaged walls with a bright, modern alternative. For the flooring, we used ElitePlank Engineered Flooring, a basement-appropriate solution that adds warmth and durability with a polished, stylish finish.
