Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation in Somers Point, NJ
A home in Somers Point, NJ had a crawl space that was dark, damp, musty, and unhealthy. Lingering moisture beneath the home causes progressive damage if not resolved with a waterproofing solution. Recognizing these threats, the homeowner contacted Quality 1st for a free estimate. Our System Design Specialist Phil inspected the space and provided a repair design that our Foreman and crew would be able to install. To provide the space with the protection it needed, our crew installed a complete encapsulation system in the crawl space. The floor of the crawl space was covered with our Drainage Matting, then concealed with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. This vapor barrier was installed around the entire crawl space, up the walls, and around support piers. SilverGlo Insulation Panels were installed around the walls to insulate the crawl space while simultaneously preventing water and humidity from entering the space. This home now has a dry and protected crawl space with a healthy environment!
Unprotected Crawl Space
Before our team repaired the crawl space, it was unprotected from leaking water and humidity damaging the space.
Leaking Water
Heavy rains would lead to high volumes of water leaking below the home through the exterior door. This easy access for water to get inside the crawl space put it at greater risk of serious water damage.
Drainage Matting
Before the crawl space is encapsulated, Drainage Matting is lined across the floor. This installation beneath the vapor barrier helps with water flow underneath.
Encapsulated Crawl Space
The CleanSpace Vapor Barrier completely encapsulates the crawl space, being sealed around all corners, edges, and support piers.
Encapsulated and Insulated
CleanSpace seals water out of the crawl space while the SilverGlo Insulation Panels regulate the environment by blocking out moisture and humidity.
