Photo Album: Crawl Space Waterproofing in Westfield, NJ
A homeowner in Westfield, New Jersey noticed their crawl space had water and moisture seeping through the walls. This can happen because the soil around the foundation becomes saturated during heavy rainfall. This saturated soil creates hydrostatic pressure and pushes water through the walls. A wet crawl space can have many negative effects such as mold growth, pests and insects, and increased energy bills. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems and our System Design Specialist, Steven Ventriglio, was able to provide an inspection and help them find a solution to fix this issue. He suggested they install a vapor barrier system throughout the crawl space.
Our foreman, Wilver Cardoza, installed the CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System which is both waterproof and mold-proof. The vapor barrier system will keep moisture and water out of the crawl space in order to keep it dry. This system seals the crawl space from the earth and the earth's elements. Next, the foreman installed the SmartSump Pump System which is perfect for a crawl space. This sump pump has an airtight enclosed lid with a drain that keeps water vapor sealed in while allowing water to drain down. Next, the foreman installed the SaniDry Dehumidifier, which will circulate the air in the crawl space and keep everything dry. Lastly, the foreman installed the IceGuard Discharge Line which allows water to escape if the pipes freeze or become blocked for any reason. now, the homeowner has a waterproof crawl space that will stay dry.
