Photo Album: Dangerous Pool Slab Tripping Hazard Leveled Edison, NJ
A homeowner in Edison, NJ was getting tired of looking at the multiple tripping hazards around the pool area. The concrete slabs were not only a danger for the kids running around into the pool but it was also an eyesore. The homeowner called to book a free estimate after finding our ValPak ad.
System Design Specialist, Jack Huber, inspected the affected area and found that the slabs were settling 2 to 4 inches in some section's. There were also a couple of cracks on the concrete floor that would be easily covered with a joint sealant. After going over the proposal and going forward with the work, our production coordinator scheduled a date for our basement crew to fix the issue.
Senior foreman, Victor Leon, went out to the job site with his partner to level out the slabs. The team drilled small holes into the concrete to then pump in a polyurethane foam called polylevel. After 15 minutes of the installation, the slabs were leveled back to its original level and ready to be walked on. To add the finishing touches, one of the team members placed Nexus Pro Joint Sealing into the cracks to seal water from intruding into the soil underneath. The homeowner was happy and relieved that the slabs were permanently leveled as well as ensuring it was safe for anyone to walk around the pool.
