Photo Album: Tripping Hazard removed around Pool in Wanaque, NJ
The warm weather had finally arrived and it was time to reopen the pool for the summer. When the homeowners went to go remove the pool cover they noticed the concrete around the pool area had settled causing tripping hazards. This was a project they wanted done as soon as possible so they could use their pool. They didn't want to delay and so they called Quality 1st Basement Systems that day.
System Design Specialist, Jeff Pitek, did a full inspection of the pool deck and measured up to 2 inches up settlement. Jeff recommended lifting the slabs back to level with PolyLevel over removing and replacing the concrete slabs. Replacing the slabs will mean having two different colored concrete slabs around the pool which is not what the homeowners wanted. Therefore they decided to do the PolyLevel installation for PolyLevel will lift the existing slabs and strengthen and stabilize the loose soil underneath.
Foreman, Arturo Jacuinde, and his crew did a full walk through of the entire pool area to make sure any large furniture was out of the way. Once the pool deck was cleared, the crew began drilling small holes into each settled slab and began injecting the PolyLevel underneath, which raised and elevated each slab. The tripping hazards were removed and within 15 minutes of completion, the homeowners were able to use their pool.
