Photo Album: Installed Vapor Barrier System in Marlboro Township, NJ

Homeowner living in Marlboro Township, NJ had water coming into their crawl space when it rained. They would receive several inches of water at a time which their insulation began absorbing causing it to become wet and fall out of the ceiling all over the floor creating a mess. The crawl space was cold, damp and all that cold air was traveling up to the first floor of the home. The homeowner contacted Quality 1st Basement Systems to encapsulate the crawl space to keep it warm and dry. When Senior Design Specialist, Dan McNally, began his inspection he found the crawl space insulation hanging from the walls and all over the floor. There was water puddles in several areas, rats, efflorescence on the walls and discovered a draft was coming in from the crawl space vent that wasn't properly sealed. Dan recommended a Vapor Barrier System which would seal off doors and windows, remove standing water, and encapsulate and insulate the crawl space.  Quality 1st crew removed the wet insulation, water and dirt from the crawl space and sealed off each window and crawl space door. SmartJacks were installed to support the sagging beams to repair the structure of the home. The crawl space was encapsulated with SilverGlo and CleanSpace to prevent future water, pests, humidity and cold drafts from coming through. This homeowner was amazed at the transformation and was thrilled that they now had extra storage space.
