Basement Waterproofing Solution in Woodcliff Lake, NJ
Challenge
In Woodcliff Lake, NJ, the homeowners had been battling moisture issues that only revealed themselves after mold remediation. Their basement had been partially finished, and once the mold was removed and the drywall opened up, the cause became clear: a single basement wall was allowing moisture to seep in during rainfall.
Although only one section of the wall appeared to be the problem, it was enough to repeatedly dampen building materials, create musty odors, and risk another cycle of mold growth if left unaddressed. The homeowners needed a permanent, reliable waterproofing solution that would protect the space long-term so they could confidently move forward with restoring their basement.
Solution
To permanently solve the issue, our team installed our WaterGuard interior drainage system along the problem wall. WaterGuard sits just above the footing, allowing it to capture any water that seeps through the wall or up from the floor before it ever reaches the basement interior. We paired this with a TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which provides three levels of pumping protection, including a battery backup, to ensure the system keeps working even during severe weather or power outages. With the WaterGuard channel directing water straight into the TripleSafe, the basement now has a complete, dependable waterproofing system designed to protect the area for decades. With moisture handled at the source, the homeowners can rebuild and refinish their basement without worrying about recurring leaks or mold returning.
